CORSAIR-X RC CORSAIR-X QUANTUM-X SIGNET-X RAM-X CONTOUR-X CLASSIC-V REGENT-X XD-4 VX-PRO4 Carbon Fiber Composite Exclusive technology developed internally by Arai for the GP-6RC F-1 helmet. The RC models utilize carbon fiber found in the latest generation of commercial airlines, bonded with Arai´s proprietary resins and is reinforced with a band of incredibly strong fibers specifically oriented to disperse energy loads laterally across the shell surface. This band increases shell strength without adding thickness or weight, and allows the use of a thinner EPS liner which greatly enhances the upward field of view. The new Peripherally Belted-Super Complex Laminate Construction shell design combines multiple materials and techniques created internally by Arai that deliver both performance and affordability. Created from super fiber and special synthetic fibers, and assembled by Arai experts, the shell provides both superb tensile strength and flexibility characteristics. Like the metal bands used to hold a wooden barrel together, a variety of carefully placed materials, combined with newly developed resins result in strong shells with less weight. The head liner has 5mm temple pads in the side pockets which can be removed for easy micro fitting. The REGENT-X head liner is held by hook-and-pull patches in the front, and tabs that slide behind the EPS liner in the back and are held in by the cheek pads. The REGENT-X head liner also has removable 5mm temple pads in the side pockets for easy micro fitting. The tongue tab on the back of the cheek pad slides behind the EPS liner, then the front tab clicks into a receiver in the chin liner. The cover is removable for easy washing. A clear Pinlock insert is standard with the CORSAIR-X RC, CORSAIR-X, QUANTUM-X, SIGNET-X, AND CONTOUR-X. A dual-function lever releases both the side cover / pod and shield pin for quick and simple shield removal. Being able to see the shield mechanism allows for easier shield changes. Based on the VAS-V shield, the VAS-Z shield also utilizes a dual-function lever to release both the side cover/pod and shield for quick and simple shield removal. The Pinlock lens comes standard with the RAM-X. Light and versatile, the TX-XD shield is excellent in street riding and off-road applications giving the rider a wide field of view. The TX-XD Shield also comes in anti-fog laminated variants in Clear, Light Tint, and Dark Tint. The Pinlock lens forms a seal between the inside of the face shield and rider to mitigate fogging. The optional Pro Shade System not only offers a quick, convenient shade to block ambient light, but also the benefit of an aerodynamic peak to block sudden bursts of light when cresting a hill, rounding a canyon bend, or exiting a tunnel with just a subtle dip of the head, allowing rider´s hands to stay right where they need to be. The Pro Shade System comes installed on a MAX-V Brow Vented shield, providing an excellent field of view and maintaining the benefits of Arai´s Brow Vent intake ducts. The optional clear MAX-V BV Pinlock anti-fog insert reduces fogging without reducing your field of view. The VAS latch captures and holds the shield securely closed to help prevent unexpected opening. In addition to the de-mist function, the larger latch allows for an intuitive and seamless shield operation.
